In the Indian Premier League’s history, there is one team that has talented players, exceptional coaching, and support staff. With that, this team also has brilliant fans support from all around the world. Another quality of this team is that they look powerful side on paper.
But on the field, this team has let their support down. In 12 seasons of the IPL, Royal Challengers Bangalore hasn’t won a single IPL trophy. They were in the three finals of 2009, 2011, and 2016. But they failed to clinch the title.
Now the fans of RCB have again raised their hope of winning the IPL 2020 season, which starts on 19th September 2020 to 10th November 2020 in the United Arab Emirates.
This year too, they have a side which might end their drought of not winning the cash-rich league tournament even once.
Today, we shall let our IPL fans know about those three factors that might go in RCB’s way in the 13th edition of this tournament.
Here are the three factors that might allow this struggling team to win the title of the IPL 2020 season.
Royal Challengers Bangalore Team’s Preview –
- RCB has three greatest batsmen of T20 Format – The RCB has been an entertaining team. But to win a big tournament like IPL. They need to be a winning team. This year, RCB has 3 of the greatest batsmen in their group. They have the likes of Aaron Finch, Virat Kohli, and AB de Villiers for this season. Having these three batsmen in one team puts pressure right back to the opposition even before the game starts. But these three batsmen will have to perform on consistent bases. They should not hold themselves back from showing their presence on the field. These three players are exceptional stroke players as well. They can just hit boundaries and sixes with ease. It will be difficult for any team to prevent the onslaughts, which will take place on UAE pitches.
- Solid Spin Attack for 2020 IPL season – Despite having Yuzvendra Chahal as their lead spinner, the Royal Challengers Bangalore have struggled to win matches. RCB has lost games because Chahal has only four overs. Even if he bowls his overs with tidy line and length, the opposition batsmen can target the other RCB camp’s other bowlers. England’s Moeen Ali is also a good spin bowler. RCB should give him a consistent run in their team, and another good thing about Ali is that he can even bat as the opening batsmen, and he can also play in the middle order. Ali can be dangerous for the opposition teams due to his all-round skills. The pitches in the UAE will also be slow, and so, the RCB spinners can exploit this to their benefit, which can help them win more matches of the IPL 2020 season. RCB has also added Adam Zampa in their squad. The Spin bowler from Australia will be lethal as well.
- Variety of opening potion for RCB this season – The men in red have always found tough to choose their opening batsmen in all seasons. But this time, the team of Royal Challengers Bangalore has included a variety of opening batters in their squad. RCB has picked Aaron Finch from Australia. Finch is the best opening batsmen in limited-overs format for Australia. Australia’s One Day International Team and T20 International’s current skipper has lots of experience while opening the innings. RCB will need to use that experience from Finch this season. To support Finch, RCB can try Parthiv Patel at the opening slot. Patel is also a senior member of the IPL. Apart from these two, Virat Kohli, the RCB team’s skipper, is the third option for the team. Kohli can also bat with Finch at the top order. RCB also has Moeen Ali, the spin-bowling all-rounder used to open for England in the T20 format earlier, and Devdutt Padikkal is also a young, aggressive opening batsman. He was chosen by the RCB franchise in this year’s auction. So this year, RCB has different players who can be tried at the opening slot.
